A history to live in

Living becomes an art

Sobieskiego 5 is a historic townhouse in the very centre of Kraków. It once belonged to Józef Mehoffer — an artist for whom no single element mattered on its own, only the whole: proportion, composition and inner order.

That way of thinking — treating the building as a considered whole — is the starting point for its revitalisation. The result is a collection of 26 apartments in which prestige and everyday function grow directly from the coherence and history of the entire project.

Memory in the walls

An address steeped in history

The townhouse at Sobieskiego 5 was linked to Kraków’s urban aristocracy at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Józef Mehoffer was among its owners, and figures from European noble families — including Renata of Habsburg — also appear in its story.

That character continues in the way the revitalisation is carried out — not as a reconstruction, but by preserving the character that has defined the place from the beginning.

A shared space for connection

A place designed around your lifestyle

The shared spaces are an integral part of the project. A green courtyard is being created with a glazed gym and sauna, designed into its layout.

These are not extras, but part of how the building is experienced.

The art of living
in the attic

A split-level attic apartment whose greatest strengths are its impressive height and open plan. Its character comes from the varied geometry of slopes and ceilings.

Purpose-designed dormers and roof windows bring daylight throughout the day, emphasising the height and proportions of the interior. On the lower level, the living room, dining area and kitchen form a refined, open-plan space — equally suited to everyday life and larger gatherings.

At the centre is a sculptural spiral staircase with a monolithic form, leading to the mezzanine. It connects both levels and becomes a distinct architectural detail that gives the apartment its own, timeless character.

Here, light shapes the space.

The building’s unique character

  • Natural stone
  • Brushed steel
  • Layered lighting
  • Two lifts: internal and external
  • Wellness area
  • Timber windows and doors

Townhouses like this rarely appear on the market. Sobieskiego 5 is being created as a unified revitalisation of the whole building — not a set of unrelated units, but a coherent architectural concept.

Restored architectural details are set alongside contemporary solutions and shared spaces that genuinely raise everyday comfort, including a wellness area with a gym and sauna. The spacious staircase restores the character of the old townhouse, keeping its scale, aesthetics and approach to space and design. It is designed for those who see a home as a form of art.
